Nebulax

Stars are born in a nebula. So were we...

We are a FIRST Robotics Competition team of students from Esenyurt Nakipoğlu Cumhuriyet Anadolu Lisesi. Every January the game drops, we get six weeks, and in those six weeks we design and build a competition robot from nothing.

Who we are

Six weeks, one robot, one team.

FIRST reveals the year's game every January. In the six weeks that follow we read the rules, build a strategy, design mechanisms, machine parts, write code and put a 55 kg robot on the competition field. The clock does not stop.

Nebulax is a student team founded at Esenyurt Nakipoğlu Cumhuriyet Anadolu Lisesi to do exactly that. Mentors guide; students do the design, the manufacturing, the code and the pitch. When the season ends we are left with a robot, a long list of failures, and a written record of how we solved them — all of it public on this site.

How the team works

Five sub-teams run in parallel. Everyone belongs to one, but each member works in at least one other during the season — a single skill does not get you far in FRC.

Mechanical & Manufacturing

Drivetrain, mechanism prototypes, chassis. Design ends in CAD, manufacturing starts in the shop.

Community impact

The robot is half the season

The Impact Award, the highest honour in FIRST, does not look at how the robot performs. It looks at what the team changes around it. This section is the public version of that submission.

Workshops

Robotics in middle schools

Basic mechanism and block-coding workshops in Esenyurt middle schools. We aim for at least four schools per term.

Mentoring

Support for FLL teams

Field setup, rule interpretation and presentation rehearsals for newly formed FIRST LEGO League teams.

Girls in the team

We track the share of girls on the team and in our workshops, set a public target each year and publish the result here.

Sharing what we learn

Our CAD files, robot code and scouting templates are free for any new team to use.

From the team
